Toccata Studio is proud to present “RE – REVOLUTION + EVOLUTION”, a brand new multimedia work incorporates live music and visual art collaborative performance. This performance will feature music composer and theremin player NG Chor Guan as well as visual artist Fauzi Yusoff.

There will be two performances of “RE – REVOLUTION + EVOLUTION”, on 2nd and 3rd Nov 2013, at Toccata Studio, which is located at 19B, SS2/55, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The show will begin at 8:30pm and 3:00pm sharp. Admission is via a minimum donation of RM25.

This performance will feature collective audio and visual footages from cycling experiences of both Guan and Fauzi during pre-production stage. All footages files will then be artistically processed through their professional attempts. Final presentation of the art piece will be a combination of audio and visual collaborative performance. This production was made possible, in part, by a grant from the National Culture and Arts Department under the National Creative Industry Policy.

Ng Chor Guan is an invigorating music composer and sound designer for theatre, dance, film, concert music and new media. He started his career as professional music composer during his years in London. His work demonstrates an excellent integration of the classical and the contemporary. His music has been performed in a wide variety of mediums including orchestral, choral, chamber, and electronic music. He was regularly invited to perform his music composition, including in Global RCE Conference organized by UNICEF in Korea in 2012, a UK tour in 2013 and more. To add to his list of accomplishments, he has also produced 11 CD albums of his own.

Fauzi Yusoff is a visual artist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He explores audiovisual aesthetics, crossing into new media technology. His works advocate the need for a strong relationship between audio and moving images.Traditional and culture is central to most of Fauzi Yusoff’s imagery as he searches visual inspirations. They may relate in ways of contradiction to harmonization, inevitably converging into an experience that is both exciting and melancholic. Fauzi Yusoff, head visual artist and director of EFOZY, is critically acclaimed for his futuristic, live optical creations.
